Ms. Judith Monast, Director of Operations, Modesto Junior College, shared outcomes of a grant project that was funded by the System Office and described how KeyTrain is being used as a training tool in the non-credit curriculum at Modesto Junior College. Mr. William Bassitt, CEO, Stanislaus County Economic Development and Alliance, shared a vision the Alliance has for WorkKeys and the Work Ready Certificate. Dr. Tom Kilijanek, Western Region Representative for ACT WorkKeys shared information about the new National WorkKeys Certificate and a model that has proved successful in the state of Kentucky. Juliet Atkins, Interim Director of the Regional Health Occupations Resource Center (RHORC) at Hartnell College, provided an overview of the DACUM process and shared how they are utilizing DACUM in the Allied Health Curriculum. John Means, Dean of Community Advancement at El Camino College, agreed to share a community college model of how DACUM and WorkKeys are working together at the spring 2007 CCCAOE conference. Gary Mendenhall, Region VP to the CCCAOE Board will bring this idea to the Board for consideration.
