Professional Leadership Development

In an effort to support work plan goals and to increase the number of professional leadership development opportunities for member college staff, the Central Region Consortium will provide a maximum of $1,200 to each of the 14 colleges in the Region in 2006-2007 to sponsor staff participation in regional and/or statewide VTEA leadership events.  Participation in any event that is discipline specific, although highly valuable, does not qualify to receive this funding.

TO APPLY FOR PROFESSIONAL LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT FUNDING:

Your college’s designated lead vocational education administrator must submit a Professional Leadership Development Funding Request Form to the Central Region Consortium office for advance approval.

Form may be submitted electronically to clarks@yosemite.cc.ca.us or mailed to Sue Clark, Coordinator, Central Region Consortium, 11600 Columbia College Drive, Sonora, CA 95370.

Upon receipt, Gary Mendenhall, Project Director, will review and approve the event(s) as eligible under funding guidelines noted above.

A notice of approval or denial will be sent electronically to the designated lead vocational education administrator who submitted the request.  Rationale will be noted for any request that is denied.

TO RECEIVE PROFESSIONAL LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT FUNDING

Following event participation and verification of attendance, the community college district requesting funding must submit an invoice to Yosemite Community College District, Attn:  Sue Clark, Central Region Consortium, PO Box 4065, Modesto, CA 95352.

Payment will be made within 30 days of receipt of invoice for pre-approved events.

Payments will be made only to community colleges and/or community college districts.

Payments will not be made to individuals.
